Hey boys and girls!I'm so excited! I'm going to Guatemala! I've never been to Guatemala before and it looks pretty awesome. I'm going with a group of people from church and boy it seems like a great group of people. We are going to be doing some pretty neat things but the thing I am most excited about is getting to visit with the children in Guatemala. We are going to have the opporutnity to spend time with some children that live in Guatemala. We are going to tell them about Jesus! Did you know that you can do that? You can tell other people about Jesus! In fact, Jesus tells us in Matthew 28: 19-20 to do just that! He says,"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of theFather and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all thecommands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to theend of the age."Wow! Isn't that radical! Remember how we said that a disciple is a friend of Jesus or Jesus' helper? Well Jesus is telling us to go out to all the world and help other people know how to be Jesus' friend and helper!Now I want to ask for your help - do you think you could help me with something? Great! I would like for you to pray that God would protect everyone going to Guatemala. Also, would you pray that everyone going on this missions trip would listen to Jesus and do all that He asks us to do? That would be great! Prayer is so important and I would love for you to be praying for us! Remember, you can always pray to God and God is always listening! I think that is so cool!Well, I better get to packing. It's not easy for a gator to pack for a trip to Guatemala. I wonder if they have swamps in Guatemala.
