There's No Place like Swamp.

GOZER HERE
Well I am finally back to my home town swamp. What a great missions trip that was. We were able to tell alot of people about Jesus. We put a roof on a house for a family, made a picnic area for some people that are still working at teaching Gods word, we carried a 400 lb pela (whick is a big sink) up a hill and that was hard work, my gator paws were real tired after that. I made a bunch of new friends and I think we should still keep praying for them. I can't wait to see you soon and tell you all about it

GOZERS OUT

Friday, May 9, 2008

Gozer here,

Well, just like I said yesterday there were lots of kids. I made so many new friends today I can’t even count them all. One of my friends, named Billy, and I taught the children about Jesus and how good it is to have Him in your heart. After that we played and colored and even blew some bubbles. It was a great day. I can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow.Well, I’m going to get some rest now.

It’s been a busy day and I need a nap.

Bye.

Am I ever tired!

Gozer here!

Am I ever tired. Since I live in the swamp they asked me to get the water for the concrete we poured today. Now that’s hard work! I also got to hammer my first nail when we helped put a new roof on a friend’s home. I got to meet lots of new friends in the hospital and they sure could use your prayers.

Tomorrow I’m going to get to meet lots of new friends from the villages around Chichi-cas-tango-tango (or whatever). The boys and girls are coming to our house and we’re going to give them some gifts and some milk.

I shall try and get some sleep so I can bless more people in Jesus’ name tomorrow.

Your friend, GOZER

Hello from Gozer!

I am having a great time have flown on 2 airplanes, and a van for 6 hours. This place is a pretty as I remember it. The beautiful high mountains. I am over a mile high in the mountains. I got to go worship at church with my new friends here in ChiChi. I even saw myself on TV here at our hotel.

I am helping do some construction projects. We are making a floor for my friends to have a place to eat at lunch time.

I really like the food here. I may be an alligator but I am eating like a pig. It rains here almost everyday this time of year. They call it the rainy season and that is the truth.
Blessings and keep praying for me. I will have lots of stories to tell you when I return.
Love, Gozer

Hi boys and girls!I can't tell you how excited I am to be back home! I love going on trips to tell people about Jesus but it is always nice to come home and get back to my own swamp. I was so glad to see you all this weekend! I missed you little buddies! Well, I have a lot of pictures to show you so I'll get to it. There are stories that go with every picture but I'll have to take some time and tell you more about them later. I just wanted you to be able to see some of the things that I got to do and the cool people I got to meet.Have a great day and don't forget how much Jesus loves you!

Later Gators,

GOZER

Saying hi to some of my friends. Check out what they're coloring - that's right. A picture of me! And you can color the same picture! Just download the coloring page, print, and color away!

This is one of my new friends. She's a pretty cool girl. She has a problem with her back called Spina bifida. Please be praying for her!

Alligators are so cool, people are starting to make pots that look like us!

Just watching Allison doing the craft that we brought for the kids to do. Allison's pretty crafty so she did a pretty good job. (Though I'm glad I was there to give a few tips.)

This little boy wanted to check out my teeth (I was sure not to bite him - that's no way to treat a friend!).

Giving a kiss on the cheek.

Yeah, that's the spot. I love having my nose scratched. How about you?

Say Ahhh!!!!

Didn't they do a great job coloring their pictures?

At the market. It looks like someone was about to buy something. What would you buy if you went shopping for food?

Here are some more Gozer pictures that the kids colored. I'm telling you, there are some artists in Guatemala!

These are some of my new friends too. We bought them some food because they did not have any. It's good to be able to help other people. How would you help somebody?

I would get tired walking (people have long legs! It was hard to keep up) so Allison would let me hang out in her bag and she would carry me. Allison is so nice!!

We Made It!

Thursday, May 10, 2007

Hi boys and girls!

Well, I'm here in Guatemala. (That picture to the left is at the airport. Those are my good friends, Tim and Allison.) We flew from Nashville to Miami and from Miami to Guatemala City, the capital of Guatemala, and arrived yesterday. After we arrived in Guatemala City we had to drive in a van for 4 hours to get to the city where we are staying which is called Chichicastenango. Even though 4 hours is a long time to drive, I was so excited it felt like the time flew by! I was glad to arrive at Hands of Jesus, the place where we are staying. When we got there we found our rooms and got some dinner. After dinner I helped do the dishes. I think helping out is so cool! I know I like my friends to help me sometimes so I think other people must like having help sometimes too. Do you ever help out at home? What kind of things do you help do?

Well after we finished dinner I was pretty tired from all that traveling so I decided to head to bed. I get to sleep on the top bunk! Woohoo! I love the top bunk!I woke up this morning and I'm so excited! I get to meet some of the kids today! But before I get to meet them I have to find out what we are going to be doing. So, I went to a meeting called orientation where everyone in our group got together and learned about all the awesome things we are going to be doing. It was pretty neat and made me really excited about everything we are going to do in Guatemala!

Well, I better get going. We have a lot of awesome things to do and we've got to get ready. I'll let you know how it all goes today. Thanks for stopping by and seeing how I'm doing in Guatemala. Don't forget to be praying for us and for everyone that we are going to meet, that they will want to hear about Jesus!

You rock!

I'll talk to you later!

Gozer

Here I am with my friend Allison. We worked together to get the dishes clean!

This is me and my awesome friend Allison at the orientation where we learned about all the cool things we are going to be doing here in Guatemala.

I love my top bunk!

This is me checking in at the Miami airport. Just one more flight until we are in Guatemala!

This is Allison and me at the airport. And that's my passport. Pretty cool, huh?

This is at dinner. I was so hungry!

Counting down the Hours!

Thursday, May 8, 2007

Hey boys and girls!

Only 10 1/2 hours until we leave for Guatemala! I can't tell you how excited I am! I've been getting ready to leave. We had one final meeting Sunday to make sure we all knew exactly what we would be doing and to get some traveling tips from Phillip Jackson (he's a pretty cool dude). I got some of my questions answered, though they aren't sure if there are any swamps where we are going. I'm packing my swimming trunks just in case. A nice dip in a local swamp would be pretty nice.

But that's not why I'm going.

I'm going to share Jesus with people around the world! That is the most exciting part about this trip. It's is amazing to me that God wants to use me to tell other people about His son Jesus Christ. And I think it's pretty radical that you can tell other people about Jesus too!

Well, I hope you are all doing great and I miss you already. Don't forget to be praying for us!
Oh yeah, here are some pictures of me at our meeting on Sunday and me paying Ms. Pat. Remember, God always provides! I wasn't sure if I would be able to go, but God always makes sure we have what we need and God made sure I had the money to go to Guatemala.

Praise God!

Talk to you soon,

Gozer

This is a picture of all the people going to Guatemala.

Aren't we a nice looking group?

This is a picture of me with my tags for my luggage.

Ms. Pat made them for me. She is always so nice.

This is me with my passport. Pretty cool, huh?

This is me at our meeting on Sunday. And Allison

Cummings is next to me, then Liz Ferris, Mike Ferris,

and Phillip Jackson is on the far right.

This is Ms. Pat. She's taking my money! Well,
actually I'm giving it to her. Praise the Lord - he
always provides! (That means he always makes sure
I have what I need. He'll do the same thing for you
too!)

I'm Going to Guatemala!

Thursday, May 3, 2007

Hey boys and girls!

I'm so excited! I'm going to Guatemala! I've never been to Guatemala before and it looks pretty awesome. I'm going with a group of people from church and boy it seems like a great group of people. We are going to be doing some pretty neat things but the thing I am most excited about is getting to visit with the children in Guatemala. We are going to have the opporutnity to spend time with some children that live in Guatemala. We are going to tell them about Jesus! Did you know that you can do that? You can tell other people about Jesus! In fact, Jesus tells us in Matthew 28: 19-20 to do just that! He says,"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of theFather and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all thecommands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to theend of the age."Wow! Isn't that radical! Remember how we said that a disciple is a friend of Jesus or Jesus' helper? Well Jesus is telling us to go out to all the world and help other people know how to be Jesus' friend and helper! Now I want to ask for your help - do you think you could help me with something? Great! I would like for you to pray that God would protect everyone going to Guatemala. Also, would you pray that everyone going on this missions trip would listen to Jesus and do all that He asks us to do? That would be great! Prayer is so important and I would love for you to be praying for us! Remember, you can always pray to God and God is always listening! I think that is so cool!Well, I better get to packing. It's not easy for a gator to pack for a trip to Guatemala. I wonder if they have swamps in Guatemala.

Hmm....See you later!
